Payment and Refund Policy
Last updated: 2 November 2026
Scope of the Policy and the Products or Services It Covers
This Payment and Refund Policy applies to all purchases of courses and related digital resources offered through tellylix. The site provides an informative resource dedicated to audiovisual production excellence, including training on broadcast studio design, camera control systems, professional lighting arrangements, sound engineering, and streamlined workflows for television networks and live events. All transactions involve access to online course materials, video lessons, downloadable guides, and interactive modules. This policy governs payments, cancellations, and refunds for these digital educational products sold to consumers in the United Kingdom.
Prices, Currencies, Taxes, and Any Additional Charges
All prices are displayed in British Pounds Sterling (GBP). Prices include value added tax (VAT) at the prevailing UK rate where applicable. No additional charges apply for standard access to course content. However, if you choose optional add-ons such as extended access periods or personalised feedback sessions, these will be clearly priced before purchase. Currency conversion fees may apply if your payment card is issued in a different currency, but tellylix does not control or add such fees.
Accepted Payment Methods, Payment Authorisation, and Payment Security
We accept major credit and debit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, and American Express, as well as bank transfers for institutional purchases. Payments are processed securely through third-party providers compliant with PCI DSS standards. All transactions require authorisation from your card issuer. tellylix does not store full card details. Authorisation occurs at the time of purchase, and funds are deducted once the order is confirmed.
Order, Booking, or Service Confirmation and When a Contract Is Formed
Upon submitting your order and payment details, you will receive an email confirmation containing order details and access instructions. A binding contract forms when we send this confirmation email. Access to digital course content is granted immediately after successful payment processing, subject to the terms outlined in this policy.
Cancellation Rights and Applicable Cancellation Periods
Under UK consumer law, you have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of purchase during which you may cancel for a full refund, provided you have not started accessing the digital content. Once you begin streaming or downloading materials, the right to cancel may be lost for that portion of the course. To exercise this right, contact us before the period expires.
Refund Eligibility, Exclusions, and Non-Refundable Items or Services
Refunds are available for unused courses within the cooling-off period or if the content is defective. Non-refundable items include courses where significant access has occurred, promotional bundles already redeemed, or customised training materials. Subscriptions for ongoing access are refundable on a pro-rata basis only if cancelled before the next billing cycle.
The Step-by-Step Procedure and Information Required to Request a Refund
To request a refund, email administration@gtc.org.uk with your order number, full name, and reason for the request. Include details of any access you have made to the content. We require your account email and transaction reference for verification. Requests must be submitted in writing via this channel.
Inspection, Approval, Rejection, and Notification of the Refund Decision
We will inspect your request within 10 working days. You will be notified by email of approval or rejection, with reasons provided for any refusal. Approved refunds will proceed to processing, while rejected claims may be appealed once with additional supporting information.
Refund Method, Processing Time, and When Funds Should Reach the Customer
Refunds are issued to the original payment method. Processing takes up to 14 days after approval, though bank processing may extend this to 30 days depending on your provider. You will receive confirmation once the refund is initiated.
Special Rules for Digital Content, Subscriptions, Services, or Promotional Offers Where Relevant
For digital content, refunds are limited once access begins as permitted under the Consumer Contracts Regulations. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled 48 hours before renewal. Promotional offers are non-refundable after redemption, and any free trial periods convert to paid access automatically unless cancelled in advance.
Failed Payments, Duplicate Charges, Chargebacks, and Suspected Fraud
Failed payments will result in order cancellation and no access granted. Duplicate charges are investigated and refunded automatically upon detection. Chargebacks are treated as disputes and may lead to account suspension. Suspected fraud triggers immediate investigation, with possible reporting to authorities and withholding of refunds pending resolution.
Mandatory Consumer Rights in the Target Country That the Policy Cannot Exclude
This policy does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018, and Payment Services Regulations. You retain rights to remedies for faulty digital content, including repair, replacement, or refund, regardless of this policy. Nothing here excludes liability for death, personal injury, or fraud.
